Like the serpent rising, growing, we as humans shed old skin that no longer fits the emerging being, discard old beliefs that constrain a burgeoning soul. It’s done in the darkness, away from prying eyes. It’s done in solitude. All this, because we are vulnerable during stages of growth, stronger for it. We’ll shed many ‘skins’ in our life cycle in the process of growing, in the process of becoming. It happens in season, at the right time, at the right pace. Some so slow, it’s as if they lay stationary, stagnant; some so fast we barely recognize the miraculous body of evidence before us. It’s a personalized occurrence. Human transformation lies within as the ‘skin’ is shed. This is the Human Moult.
